Open Convention [View all]

IMHO
I believe with the endorsement from Biden, Kamala Harris would likely win the nomination. She has the credentials and the financing as well as a nuanced understanding of the workings of the White House. She has championed the policies of the Biden/Harris administration and has served the country. As a former senator and prosecutor, she knows the law.
I also have seen multiple polls showing her losing to Trump. There is the quandary. I look at the last time a VP became the nominee after the sitting president stepped down from re-election. He lost to Nixon. This gives me serious pause. The threat of the "felonious dumpster fire" is real.
The convention is going to be wild and opening it up will allow for the strongest and most viable candidate will emerge. Yes, it will be almost a month of uncertainty, but we are creating history.

I would personally love to see an Harris/ Kelly, Harris/Whitmer or Harris/Newsom ticket (in no particular order).
