(54,017 posts)This is a drastic simplification of what is happening. We see many such myopic simplifications.
1) They hate black people: ignoring the fact Kamala would be the likely successor and that Jefferies and Obama are among those concerned that Biden may not be able to win.
2) They just want Trump to win: Yeah, Nancy Pelosi's lifelong mission has been to put Trump in the White House
3) Now it's the Big Donors: ignoring all the Democratic elected officials who are not in fact big donors. They are concerned that Dems might not only lose the White House but the House as well. The consequences of that would be disastrous.
4) If you do want to know what some of the big donors think, read this article about the Hollywood fundraiser that Biden himself solicited from Clooney and other Hollywood big wigs. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/other/inside-the-glitzy-fundraiser-where-biden-lost-george-clooney/ar-BB1pRpFW?ocid=BingNewsSerp
All of these people have legitimate concerns. That doesn't mean they are right in wanting Biden to step down. His doing so would create a host of problems in their own right by throwing the nomination process into chaos and creating ballot problems. But oversimplifying the concerns doesn't help anything.
