The post about the Romney campaign did not claim they got it from the KKK, just that they used the same slogan. The MSNBC story about ut does not claim that either. Both places just noted the same phrase being used by both groups.

If it was an inadvertent duplication by the Romney campaign, they should have simply said that they were unaware of the previous use of that phrase, that they do not support the same ideals as the Klan, and that they apologize for raising that old specter of KKK racism.

Forcing a news organization to apologize for a factual reference to the use of the phrase in my mind raises doubt that the use was inadvertent.
