2. Good rant.

We were supposed to have public utility commissions that regulated cable and phone rates, etc. In some states, consumers would be better off without them. In Florida, for example, you have to pay extra to have rooftop solar panels and the state utility commission was helping the power companies fight off consumer efforts to remedy the situation.
