28. Have you thought about an HSA?

My SO and I are in good health, and I pay $200 for me (age 52) and $179 for him (he's a smoker and 50).

We get almost nothing for this but we are protected from catastrophe, and from losing the house if there is a huge medical bill.

Also, the $5000 we have in the account rolls over each year, and we feel better about that than we do about paying insane amounts for insurance each month and getting very little for it.
