and on Veterans Day, I respond to a friendly post from another member requesting a shout out from Vets. And you choose to demean my service by referencing a derogatory parody from literally decades ago. I am satisfied with my service. But, out of all the responders, you had to pick me. You turn a simple response into a confrontation.

So, I presume that you will say, "Oh, I worked for ASA, too!" Well, I struggle with stuff like this. You don't know me. And on this holiday of all things, you want to show me that once upon a time you knew a lyric making fun of my agency. Well, take your best fucking shot! But, that was probably it.

I served, following in both my Mother and Father's footsteps, who both served in WW2. My Mother trained troops how to climb netting on the sides of ships, while my father was a guard at the Nuremberg trials. He watched one of the Nazis hang. Times were tough then.

My oldest brother was a US Marine who was sent to Viet Nam, where he proceeded to earn a Silver Star for combat, when he was only eighteen. My other brother also went to Nam, where he, first in his class as a helicopter mechanic, pulled duty as a door gunner. We were happy he made it home.

I served in ASA. I'd tell you what I did, but then I'd probably have to kill you, times being what they are.

I usually let this stuff go, but that was offensive. Now, tell me that you didn't mean it.
