14. Ever since I first heard the phrase "Nanny Government"

the chorus of an old Phil Harris song has come to me when these "Anti-Government" blowhards talk about all us Takers. It sums up pretty well the "Gifts" I want from my government.

So Lord Lord if you can't help me
For goodness sake don't help that bear.

I'm not asking the government to give me gifts. I'm just asking that they not let the oligarchy write all the laws giving themselves a free pass. A little regulation should be the government's job.

I get why the oligarchy demonizes those who want a responsible, responsive government. What I don't get is how so many fall for their B.S.

Then there's this great graphic but I don't know how to post graphics in my reply. It says:

I don't want free healthcare; I want affordable healthcare.

I don't want money for nothing; I want the opportunity for a good job.

I don't expect every election to bring the result I want; I just want my vote to count.

I don't want businesses to be unprofitable; I want them out of the regulatory and political processes.

I don't want the wealthiest Americans to pay for everything; I want them to pay their share.
