7. My mom too, she always reminded us how lucky we were

compared to so many other people in the world.

I love what you did for that man. I remember, taking my mom at her word, when I was about five years old, inviting a homeless man into the house and deciding I would cook for him. My mom had just gone next door for a minute, and when she returned she found me with this stranger in the house and was shocked. She gave him some food and he left, then she told me 'don't ever invite strangers into the house again'. I was confused, lol, I thought when she told us we should always be kind to the poor and less fortunate, she meant it.

I guess when you're five you don't realize your limitations. Lol.
