2. Sorry TX Duers, but every damned time I hear the word Texas (or FL) now, I have a visceral reaction

It isn't simply that I thank my lucky stars I don't live there, but I re-pledge my determination to avoid the state for the indefinite future. And every time I get a survey from one professional group or another seeking input on future in-person conference locations, I actually look forward to completing them and making it clear I will not travel to either state (and if given an option, telling them WHY so that that info can be shared with state and local officials).

I am sorry for the sane living in TX and FL. Truly. But having lived through a period when RW idiots had political control over CO, it took pain and backlash before the public fought back. I can only hope the same occurs in TX (and FL and several other states) SOON.
