Paul always said that was what we should teach the younger generations.

I was good friends with some top archaeologists from the generation that excavated the site in question, as well as several others that included burials. None of them ever participated in what they recognized as grave robbing. I knew others who did, and was never friends with any of them.

When we did the return of 120 sets of human remains in Jamesville, Paul had a lot of non-Indians participate. And there were Native Americans from as far away as Central America, who were visiting Onondaga. I remember asking Paul if by any chance he had invited anyone who had excavated the original graves? He said no, they lacked the ability to understand .... that some had been family burials, with parents holding the hands of their childrem.
