lets say 70% of the owners of a company said lets give all the employees a 10% raise and 30% said no. I guess you would be ok with the company saying no raises.

or if 70% of the country said leave SS alone but 30% said cut it you would be ok with cutting it.

here 70% of the workers agreed to the cut. 30% said no and beacue of that 100% are unemployed. 30% dictated the terms to the remainder
