I'd forgotten about the view from the bunker line. I thought I had some shots of the impact area, maybe they are on some 35mm slides I haven't scanned yet. Converting slides to JPEGs is my snowbound days project. I was the motor sergeant, I got all over the place when we were in the field.
I'm on the left, (the Kent State sweatshirt really bugged the Lifers) this is my 1953 Beetle 1100....What a dog, barely enough power to pull itself up a hill, in second gear....LOL My buddy Lyle, died in 2008. I stayed in touch with him after ETS

I went back to Bayreuth in 92, just missed the 2nd AC, they were sent back to the states after Dessert Storm....
