Republican Congress Members Reintroduce Bill to Take Away Disney World “No-Fly Zone”

United States Congressman Troy E. Nehls from Texas has reintroduced a bill that would rescind a “no-fly zone” at Walt Disney World and Disneyland. The Notice to Air Missions (NOTAM’s) prohibits aircraft from operating below 3,000ft over a portion of Walt Disney World and all of Disneyland.

Officially titled the Airlines Independent of Restrictions (AIR) Act, the bill specifically and exclusively targets the “no-fly zones” at Disney’s domestic theme parks, according to Rep. Nehls. Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia are also co-sponsors of the bill, among others. The only Florida representative co-sponsoring the bill is Rep. Greg Steube from a district that covers the Port Charlotte and Sarasota area.
