(13,418 posts)pizzas, as compared to the chains, are those found at Aldi's. They're frozen and made in either Italy or Germany. Cost from $2.99 to $3.99. Don't get the ones made in US. I like the thin crust, not the rising crust. They're always seasonal (red price sign vs. black sign). I got a 4 Cheese the other day...made in Italy. To die for. I went back and bought 5 more.
Some are made in France as well. I do put a bit a cheese on them...but this 4 cheese one really didn't need that. Damn, they're good....and so reasonably priced. I love those Aldi brothers. They own Trader Joe's as well. Lots of good European foods are offered at Aldi's. YUM. I rarely shop anywhere else.
And I think they're better than some of the mom and pop places I've gone to.
Oh, off topic, but their facial skin cream is great and only $3.99 for a jar. No mineral oil, of course.
You're lucky to be in the NW. I used to be in SF. Now stuck in Ohio, but Aldi's has helped me as well as the local hospital's cafeteria. Healthy food and so damn cheap. A great salad bar. I get a huge salad w/ meats and at most I've spent $3.50. Maybe other cities have hospitals w/ good food. There is a Pasta bar, a deli, and then the 'Special for the Day.'
Papa John can go bankrupt.
