To irrational beliefs regardless of evidence to the contrary. They hold on so desperately that they will create innumerable paradoxes, but will still fail to see facts or let go of those deeply rooted false beliefs. It is one of the reasons why organized religion is able to control their followers.

Sometimes, by showing, not telling, you are able to make in-roads. That is why the "kill them with kindness" sometimes works. Sometimes the show of force works too, though, that is diametrically opposed to most liberal beliefs.

In other words we can just be who we are and some people will see we are not evil and start to let go of their rigid beliefs.

Republicans on the other hand would beat you into submission & that is my rigid belief.

GAWD that's a great graphic. Very telling. Not surprising at all. However, it's also scary codjh9 Nov 2012 #1
