11. You forgot

You could not get here without the US voters who either voted for, protest voted against or didn't vote at all. One can blame gerrymandering, Fox news, Hello Kitty or whatever the blame of the day is all they want. But the fact remains, what we see now should not have come as a surprise to anyone. To anyone paying attention that is. It's been unfolding in plain sight for a very long time.

Republicans have been broadcasting their intentions to the world for decades. But alas, the public was too busy with American Idol, Twitter, do I get the warm and fuzzies with this or that candidate, will that candidate agree with ME 100% of the time, and I just really don't care or have the time for politics, my life is too busy.

Fact is, the SC is there because that is what the US voters put there. The federal courts are there because that is what the US voters put there. State government is there, you guessed it, because that is what the voters put there. Either by voting for, protest voting against, or not voting at all. I hear all the times "do politicians think we're stupid or not paying attention"? My answer always, yes, they are counting on it! And one can get all up in arms and defensive and scream "NOT ME". And that actually IS the case in a large# of US voters. But, it doesn't change the fact that we were warned and warned and warned and warned again about what was coming. The republicans certainly were not in the least bit shy telling us all exactly what they wanted to do and how they planned to get there. Well, here it is. It was a long game with a twisted winding road of how to get there. And a lot of the population sped right past the "bridge out" sign and drove right over the cliff. The time for outrage and action, well, that ship has sailed. And, the clean up on isle America, well, we're gonna need waaaaaaaay more than a mop.

When it's all written in History, the question asked won't be, how did this happen? The question will be, Why did the American people allow it to happen.
