It is truly disgusting for someone who has had the fortune to become wealthy (inherited, privilege, earned, who cares) to attack those that are at the lowest end of the income scale.
Sure, there are some in the lower income group that are lazy and try to milk the system for what it is worth. But I suggest that is a very, very small percentage of people in that income group.
But, we have decided as a nation, that some people deserve assistance. We have decided that families shouldn't go hungry (although the current "food stamp" program hardly provides for a bounteous or necessarily healthy diet), have adequate money for the essentials of life ("welfare"
, etc.
I'm sure this 1% claims to be a Christian but hasn't learned anything from the Bible about charity and Jesus' charge to his followers.
