19. I first heard of the Federalist Society when I started law school in the fall of 1984.

It was in its infancy (maybe toddlerhood) at the time. It attracted the real nut cases. One guy who joined was someone the women in my class called Norman Bates. He used to mumble to himself during class, and take notes on a map of Poland. Another member had published a “newspaper” at my undergraduate school. All women with whom the publication disagreed, were routinely called “bull dykes.” They might as well have called it The Incel Times.

Obviously, not all members were idiots. They had a long term goal of seizing the judiciary, and they have pretty much succeeded, but they all share the same sick ideology, and lust for power.
