11. I dount the Republicans will fight it vigorously

A few Congressmen will oppose it, but not enough to get a House majority. Especially since endorsement of PR's choice was one of the plank's of the GOP platform this year. It is politically risky to so egregiously turn their back on one of their own planks, and that would likely alienate the Latino vote they are trying to court even further. I have to disagree with those of you that think the GOP would just ignore their own published platform that is so clearly a part of the public record. )It was item #16 in this year's GOP platform for those of you who are Google challenged.)
