I didn't read those were the teacher's everyday wear.

My shop class was all boys. The girls took Home Economics. Our shop teacher was a bald conservative guy. He wore a long wig one day to demonstrate the dangers of long hair in the shop. I'm not sure he was telling the boys with long hair to tie it up so much as he was mocking those with long hair.
