Maga and the forces behind it, are more like the aliens in Independence Day. Grab all they can, leave it all in ruins, and move on.

Edit to add, taking Trump into the GOP might be one of the biggest miscalculations in History. Publicly, even McConnell has supported him because Mitch thought it was expedient to do so. I am one of the few who think Maga will take Mitch down within the next few years. the movement is bigger than Trump now.
