Police officers by definition are peace keepers who patrol communities and de-escalate. That's their sole job.

These are military thugs who think and operate as a hammer and see every problem as a nail. It is a very dangerous precedent. It normalizes citizens being oppressed by the state, watched over by heavily armed militias given a broad use of force. Before you know it we have "Guardians" at checkpoints everywhere.
