4. It's an interesting (if negative and mostly false) joke, but it's not my pledge

The real pledge is there, and it's important.

I get the demoralization in this gloomy, hyperbolic, not-all-that-creative political cartoon. The demoralization is real. But we don't need to do more than a glance at this message to see it's not a Dem message, a liberal message, a progressive message, nor even a true message. It should be categorized with its relative on the right, secessionism and resentful negativism toward the democracy we have (for the time being).

It's a bitter commentary, a bitter satire. It does represent a strain of attitude, but it's a destructive attitude.
