(I've read the Presidential Succession Act.) TFG could have apponted a VP replacement, but a Democratic Congress would NEVER have approved an appointment, with inauguration two weeks away. My point was that TFG would NEVER have made Speaker Pelosi next in line for the presidency behind him.
