I saw the thread and was stunned when I saw the nasty turn it took. The OP was very clearly traumatized - and rightfully so. The compassion from most DUers was immediate & overwhelming which, IMO, is exactly what was needed. It took one "shame on you" post and holy smokes, that started the pile-on. I started to respond but backed off because I figured the OP didn't need me speaking for them.
I wasn't aware that the OP deleted their post. 100% their call but I truly hope they weren't shamed into it. My thoughts remain with the OP. 💔

And that'd be a fair criticism if that was the poster's intent, which I don't think it was.

There are often times that some people show they have no compassion at all. It's a small group.

No. The purpose was clearly to get a reaction and to make others nauseated and grossed-out too...

I saw the OP headline, but saw the "graphic" warning and never opened the thread.

He had just been completely traumatized, and you think he was working on getting a reaction

Only two complained. Their complaints were a vicious response to someone's deep pain.

I wasn't part of the drama, but i was traumatized by reading the post before the graphic warning.

Sadly, the warning wasn't in place when I read it. Very disturbing to those unprepared. (Nt)
