He does multiple hour conversational interviews with interesting people. He talks openly and honestly (although not always factually) to people and get's them to open up and dive deep into interesting topics. In an ADHD media landscape full of soundbites and headlines without any real meat, it's a refreshing option.

Anyone calling him right wing or racist is as wrong about Rogan as he is about vaccines and has not listened to his show for any meaningful amount of time. They prefer to take those aforementioned media soundbite clips about him as gospel because it fits their preferred narrative. Joe himself will tell you he's a moron and you shouldn't take his advice on anything outside of MMA and comedy.
