I've been wondering when the media was going to start talking about the fact that Mitt's father was born in Mexico.
I few minutes ago I was watching the rerun of Erin Burnett on CNN.
They are comparing Mitt Romney with Bill Richardson as far as them both being Mexican-American.
Btw, Richardson's father was born in Nicaragua and his mother was the Mexican daughter of a Spanish father from Villaviciosa, Asturias, Spain and a Mexican mother.
Now 'maybe' the GOPers will stop talking about Obama's father being born in Kenya and questioning Obama's 'natural born' status - but probably not - and if not then hopefully Mitt's 'natural born' status will get some media attention too
---
Right now there are currently 6 ballot challenges against President Obama (4 in Georgia, 2 in Texas), the complaints filed are basically saying that since Obama's father was born in Kenya and not a US citizen that Barack Obama is not a 'natural born citizen'. There was one other challenge filed and it was dismissed and now in the Appeals Court.
There's a LIST of them on this PDF link: PDF: http://tesibria.typepad.com/whats_your_evidence/BIRTHER%20CASE%20LIST.pdf
On the link above TONS of birther court cases are listed on the first 20 pages,
and then starting on page 21 there's a separate list of 2012 ballot challenges.
EDITED TO ADD CNN ARTICLE BELOW:
Could Mitt Romney be America's first Hispanic president?

I agree that won't work - and I agree that this is CNN trying to make Romney "more diverse"

Has nothing to do with xenophobia. It has to do with fighting back on the Obama challenges

I think it is a bit disengenuous to refer to Willard as Mexican-American.

Republican birthers claim that Obama is not a citizen because his father was born in Kenya.
