Again, would depend on whether it's a federal or state conviction. No way he would be convicted before the election....there's not enough time...so if elected he'd be allowed to assume office. Consider that TX AG Ken Paxton has been under indictment for over 5 years, not removed from office.

There's really not an easy answer, and things could get very complex. Only *simple* way to remove him would be thru impeachment, and we've seen how that plays out ala Trump. We've moved away from doing the honorable, ethical, & moral thing in this country.
