They are the product of many years of fine tuning and many corporations use the just in time supply scheme. Having no inventory on site saves money until there are interruptions. It'll take time to rebuild this system. Imagine if all the computers were destroyed by a solar flare. How do you build new computers, since we depend upon computers to build computers ?
