3. We should all be angry and afraid.

That really both angered and scared the crap out of me. This guy thought it was okay to smother a human being. He's an officer of the law. He was hired to be an officer of the law. He was trained to be an officer of the law. He was aided by other officers of the law. John Turnure needs to be convicted of a crime, but all of the officers who aided him in the arrest should, at least, be fired and should never be allowed to hold a position of any authority.

Until the police are held to a standard by which they routinely police themselves, this type of thing will never change.

Thankfully the accused didn't die.
