That really sucks.

I’m not in the group to get the 1st round, but the VA in Las Vegas called me yesterday because not enough veterans showed up for the walk in vaccine clinic on Sunday. Rather than let the vaccines go to waste, the VA contacted vets who said they were interested in getting vaccinated. So, by pure chance, I got the 1st dose of the Pfizer vaccine yesterday and will get the 2nd dose in 3 wks. I’m 59.

It seems so random. I’m one state over from you and never thought I would get called early.

Hopefully you will get vaccinated soon. And condolences on your mother.
