Gov. Rick Scott ...help line porn phone number??? What a dumb ass! [View all]

Gov. Rick Scott gives number to wrong kind of hotline during health briefing

During Tuesday's meeting of the Florida Cabinet, Gov. Rick Scott gave a routine update on the fungal meningitis outbreak in the state. But rather than direct people to the meningitis hotline, he transposed two numbers and instead directed callers to an "adult" phone line.

The mix-up was first reported by public radio station WUSF-FM 89.7 when it posted the number as part of its Web story. A reader notified them that the number did not connect to the state Department of Health but to an adult hotline with a greeting that begins, "Hello boys, thank you for calling me on my anniversary."

A spokesperson for Scott said the governor had an incorrect number in his copy of the briefing report.

Waddup Ricky boy? Forgot you had your favorite porn phone line mixed up with government papers ...mixing government business with Scotts business?

Here’s the connection, as laid out by reporter John Frank of the Miami Herald on June 16:

Miami Herald: The seemingly infinite paper trail detailing Rick Scott’s business investments now leads to Quepasa, a Latino social networking website that partners with Playboy Mexico to find the Playmate of the Year.

Scott owned a 13.8 percent interest in Quepasa in April 2010, according to SEC filings, worth about $7.6 million. The company’s connection to the adult magazine began in 2009 (after Scott was an investor) and the announcement was titled, "Playboy Mexico and Quespasa.com Get it On." They also helped pick the "Cyber Chica of the Month."

What a dumb ass!
