(4,750 posts)Apparently, removal of equipment requires a number of steps going up a chain of command before the removal can be approved. The fact that he is at the top of the chain shouldnt invalidate procedures meant to evaluate proposed changes.
And DeJoy made no effort to retain working (and expensive) machines, instead breaking up and throwing out that USPS property, without internal reviews. The only reason he would do that, I believe, was to hinder the mission of the USPS, which sounds a lot like malfeasance and a possible crime.
Add to that the directives about overtime and leaving mail behind in order to get out the door, and it seems that DeJoy was not doing his job. He WAS, though, doing something that impeded mail delivery, which just so happened to occur when a larger than ever number of mail-in ballots were being used.
It adds up to a conspiracy with Trump to help Trumps re-election effort, IMO. That sure as hell was not his job. Plenty of cause to remove him, and possible cause for criminal charges.
