It was forwarded through Pitt. That's the only reason his name is on it. Yes, Mr. Pitt left bad taste in more than a few DUers mouths. That said, there were extenuating circumstances for Mr. Pitt's words and actions at the time, and although that doesn't excuse those words and actions, it shouldn't disqualify him from being a productive and important force for Democratic ideas in the future. He was ashamed of his words and actions, and later apologized for them.

Carrying a grudge takes a lot of energy from a person, and it's a daily chore. You only have to forgive someone once and that burden is lifted. I don't know about you, but I like to travel through life with the lightest load possible.
