(17,615 posts)12. i think amputation would be harder on the owner than the dog..i had a dog who needed...
..part of her jaw removed due to cancer. I was freaking out and thought my dog would be disfigured for life. Actually it wasnt even noticeable but still.. thats a hard decision for an owner to make. Dogs are like their kids...

I live in a very small town. Our vets would never charge that. Dr. Jeff and Dr. Pol wouldn't charge

Call the vet and see if you can find a discount vet who helps people who can't afford this sort of

Make sure the dog doesn't run anywhere before surgery so his injury doesn't get worse.

When you talk to her double check about pain meds. Dog cannot jump down from anything right

I think she did the right thing by taking him home where she will give him the best care.
