Without being too outable, do you mind telling us what you do there? You said you provided election coverage for a German radio station and were offered the US ambassadorship, so you obviously have a pretty high stature there.

Letzes Jahr habe ich mit dem Deutschl lernen wieder angefangen, weil ich die deutsche Kultur und Gesellschaft sehr toll finde. Es ist erfrischend zu sehen, dass nicht die ganze Welt auf dasselbe Level herabgesunken ist wie hier.
