It also strongly reinforces that there need to be consequences for abuses of power and crimes by those at the highest levels of Government. The lack of major consequences for Nixon and W is, imo, part of how we got here. If Trump et al are not held to account, there will be a next time. And we might not get a chance to get out from under that one.
