19. Putin won't want him once he's useless

He'd still be good for getting his base's knickers in a twist, but once he has no power and Putin has moved on to his next Manchurian candidate, he won't be particularly welcome in Russia. In fact I think Putin will get a lot of jollies out of turning him away.

But he could still go to Saudi Arabia and live well. Maybe that's his plan.
