"anonymous sources" don't even understand what that phrase means. I've seen some article/interviews where it's stated they think the information is coming from envelopes left in dark places, or codes highlighted in a newspaper, etc.

What they don't realize or understand is that "anonymous" means unknown to the general public, however, the writer/reporters DO know who the sources are and are keeping the names private. The willfully ignorant often fail to make the distinction.
