My town was one of them.
While the Civil Rights Act took care of the posted signs and the ability if these laws to be enforced, it didn't alter people's hearts.
Emphasis on "Southern" in these parts!

Culver City is probably less than 60 percent white Today , but it's a pretty diverse area

Then check public records to see that no "unenforced" town ordinances exist on paper.
