(25,415 posts)It is just something my husband and I did back in our twenties in the late 90's and early 2000's. I went to No Way Out in 2000 in Hartford when I was 24. I stopped watching it eventually.
Linda McMahon was a HUGE part of WWE. She was on tv promoting the product and part of the story lines. Her children Stephanie and Shane and her were all part of the company for years. But this is really nothing new to us here. Wrestling was pretty popular here back after I finished college, with Triple H and Stone Cold and the Undertaker. CT was the home base so it always got a lot of attention here.
I never really thought of the WWE as representing women so badly when I was younger but then it just got worse and worse so I stopped watching it. Lately the McMahons have tried to clean it up and be more family friendly, I guess because she ran for the senate twice.
