12. One of the things that was kind of illuminating in Mary Trump's book

was her discovery, when she was hired to ghost-write a book for him (which never went anywhere because after several months of unsuccessful attempts to interview him she was taken off the project, to her great relief), that he didn't actually do anything. The actual work of the Trump real estate business was done by its employees, while Trump just schmoozed and socialized. This shines a light on Trump's behavior as president: He doesn't do anything that presidents normally do. He golfs, holds rallies, watches tv, and tweets. He doesn't do any actual work and he never has, ever in his life. We suspected this, of course, but now we know it's the way he has always operated.
