9. It would be a ridiculous waste of time and taxpayer money.

He wouldn't be removed from office by a GOP lame-duck senate after the election and he'll be gone in January anyhow. Since impeachment and conviction does nothing but remove someone from their job and he's got only 2-1/2 months left between the election and the end of Trump's term, what's the point, even if it worked, which it wouldn't? If you want him to have something to think about, figure out some crimes he can be charged with when the Trump administration is gone.
