(6,818 posts)25. When dealing with a perverse character like Trump.....
it is important to remember that pulling back on the carrot deal is equivalent to the stick deal.
I think Trump's biggest fear is loss-of-position, in other words, poverty. That's what he's facing if Biden gets the chance to follow through on his pledge to hold the guilty accountable. I'm not even sure Putin CAN ease Trump's inevitable free-fall.
I'm actually more concerned that there may be successful assassination attempts for any and all. But my mother always said I was alarmist.

If Trump thinks he will see one cent of anything from Putin, he must be thicker than shit.

My hypothesis: Trump was briefed on the bounty intel, asked Putin about it, Putin denied.

Probably over the bounty but more likely Putin refused to confirm it or did and refused

My theory is that he found out about the bounty and wanted a cut of the proceeds.

But if it's not stuff with criminal penalties, it won't matter. Senate won't impeach. n/t

This is consistent with the time frame for Trump being told about the bounty on US soldiers.

Just like Nixon, Carter, Reagan, GHWB, Clinton, GWB, & Obama did on a regular basis

This is significant, but it will mean little unless mainstream outlets cover it.
