27. Riots are violent. That's the definition of a riot.

The point is not to allow a society that is so unfair, people become angry and frightened to the point where they feel they have no recourse but to riot. That's the point of a democracy, supposedly, to create a society that is just and good enough so that people don't have to riot.

Riots are evidence of OUR failure. Our nation's failure to create a just and good society. Of course they're violent and destructive. Let's work together to prevent the CAUSES of riots, m'kay?
