to give your salary back (or be a $1/yr man). I want people that need their government salaries representing me (you know - normal folks). It is a nice gesture to be charitable, but it really shouldn't be considered over those who aren't able to make such a gesture.
I also have some kooky ideas about living arrangements in Washington. I think everyone of our Senators and Representatives should be required to live in dorms (two person to a room and as much as possible of different parties). They should only spend three nights/week in Washington. The rest of the time at their permanent home in their state or Congressional district (I know this would be more difficult for west coasters and those in Alaska and Hawaii). The families stay home.
