Vanderbilt is providing those antibodies to AstraZeneca, which will choose the best candidates for clinical development. Vanderbilt’s work has been funded by the Department of Defense, the National Institutes of Health, and Dolly Parton.

It seems that the taxpayers (and Dolly Parton) funded this work. Why do I think that pharma and Vanderbilt-associated staff will pocket most of the rewards?
