pellet stove pellets in a deep tray. They crumble into sawdust when fluid is added. It is easy to maintain, dump it once a week. It used to cost $4/40lbs back then but it is still probably cheaper than regular clay litter or any other kind. 40# would last about a month and I used a lot for each new change.
