Pratchett just tosses these bits of social commentary in as they occur to him -- in this case into a story about an Elf invasion -- and they stick in my mind like a burr.

Eventually Trump will drop dead, probably of natural causes, but our work will go on and on. This is a life-threatening systemic infection in our country -- but the fight will go on.
