in recording the opinion of a constituent?

I just called the Phila. office given in the OP and the person listened to me and answered my question about Toomey's stance ... but she did NOT ask where I live, or my name, or anything, and I don't believe she was keeping any tally of callers. I could be wrong.

I asked where Toomey stood on calling witnesses, and her response was "Senator Toomey wants to hear from both sides and then will make a decision on whether more witnesses or documents should be needed". (paraphrase of course but I think pretty close)

My response was that I would have hoped he would have already reviewed the House materials, but in any case this the House proceeding was more like the grand jury in a real trial, so we should expect that there will be more relevant evidence to be presented, and I hoped that he would support that. I asked her if she would pass along my comments, and she said she would ... but have you ever heard an eyeroll through the phone? I swear I just did.

I'm not holding my breath for Toomey to do the right thing.
